The other day, I found out that Rachel at The Avid Appetite tagged me in her Stylish Blogger Award and asked that I share 7 things about myself. Rachel is awesome and lives just outside of NYC so I am hoping I get to meet her at some point! This is the first blogger award for me so I couldn’t pass:-)
To accept this award, you have to do four things:
1. Make a post + link back to the person who awarded you this award
2. Share 7 things about yourself – I’ll tell you things you don’t already know!
3. Award 15 recently discovered great bloggers so we can share the love - See below
4. Contact these bloggers and tell them they’ve won!
So here are 7 things that you might not know about me:
- I spent the last couple days of my honeymoon in a hospital in Sardinia. It was one of the scariest experiences of my life.
- We store a slow-cooker and meat slicer in our bedroom. You have to be creative with storage in NYC apartments.
- I am technologically challenged. I have no idea how I operate a blog.
- I am a little bit obsessed with Glee but hate the term “Gleek”. I also hate that there is such a long break mid-season.
- I used to be an investment banker.
- I absolutely hate any form of coconut and can detect even the slightest amount of it in my food.
- I have an ability to eat ice cream like nobody’s business. I don’t believe in eating competitions, but if I entered one for ice cream, I’d win.
Putting this together made me realize how much you might not know about me. Guess it is about that time I update put together my FAQ page! Leave comments here or email me at KeepItSweetLCL at gmail dot com with any questions that you might have.
Here are the bloggers that I’ve tagged, check them out:
Joanne at Eats Well with Others
Sues and Chels at We Are Not Martha

Katy and Abby at Blue-Eyed Bakers
Love these posts and getting to know a little bit more about the people I follow. :)
I love this post! And CONGRATULATIONS! It sounds as though you’re in yummy company!
I hate coconut too. It tastes like suntan lotion.
Your honeymoon sounds like it was a little scary :(
Thanks for tagging me!
Yes, it does! And coconut rum is like drinking suntan lotion.
Ahhhhh-foreign hospital-SCARY! Glad everything turned out well:) I used to HATE coconut, even the site of it-and don’t bother giving me the white lifesaver-it’s coconut! But now I love it-how weird?!
Thank you so much love!!! <3
Yay, so happy you did this! Ah the intricacies of NYC storage – the possibilities are endless :)
Thanks for sharing about yourself. The sentence about being in the hospital for part of your honeymoon sounds horrible. What happened?
Your Chocolate Dipped Peanutbutter Cookies look yummy.

I think that I got a bit too carried away with the delicious food because I had major stomach problems. It was horrible because there was basically no one who spoke English!
Once when I was 8 I ate an entire GALLON of strawberry sorbet. This is a true story.
haha that is impressive, i bet you had major brain freeze!
Thanks for the nomination! We keep a lot of kitchen gadgets (and food!) in our office. You have to get creative with storage in any city, I think :)
I think these posts are so fun! I’m not a fan of coconut either. The taste just is so “off” to me and I feel like I’m eating some artificial scented lotion concotion.
It’s so fun to get to know people better through things like this!
I loooove Glee as well, and completely agree with you that the mid-season break is so heart-wrenching.
I find myself all jazzed up to go hit the play button on my tivo, forgetting about the lapse, then disappointedly tossing the remote aside because I forgot YET AGAIN it’s not on.
waaaah!
and seriously, “Gleek?” really? do they need to call such talented people such an uncool word? lame in my book, too.
I can’t seem to remember the hospital on our honeymoon. Oh right, it was so traumatic I completely blocked it from my memory! On a happier note, the picture above is taken of Lauren before she got sick, in Osteria di Passignano, a Michelin Star Restaurant in Tuscany that was easily the best food we ate the whole trip. I would remember this, because the only picture we take, are of food.
Maybe if we are nice, Lauren will post a picture of the chocolate dessert from that meal, which was the top chocolate dessert of my entire life!
thanks for sharing this post with us, its nice to get to know better:) and congrats on your award..!!
LOVE this post, Lauren! Can’t wait to get working on my own list. Thanks for the shout-out! :)
OMG I hate the term Gleeks also! Why did anyone ever think that was a good idea??
Oh the places where I store things in my apartment…the kind of thing that it’s best to keep to myself I think :P
Im slightly tech challeneged too. Im surprised I can even figure out how to post some days! Heres to getting better!
And apparently Im spelling challenged, too!
LOL I am seriously spelling challenged, should have put that on the list!
Hi Lauren, thanks for tagging me! It’s great reading all these facts about you. Sorry I haven’t posted anything about it, this week has been crazy! Also, I kinda did something similar a last year: http://www.confessionsofachocoholic.com/dessert/sugar-doll-blogger-award :)
Looks like basically the same thing:-) P.S. I also hate smelling like food. Do you care if it is coffee, like after visiting a starbucks?
