Last week I had the pleasure of participating in JAFCO’s Third Annual Fun in the Sun Event on Long Island. JAFCO is a non-profit organization that helps abused and neglected Jewish children find group shelters, homes, and mentoring in Jewish communities and families. The help and guidance that the organization provides to young children and teenagers paves the way for these individuals to be successful and happy adults. I was thrilled to be a part of the event by providing a raffle item and sharing profits of cookie sales with the charity.
The event was a great opportunity to help JAFCO, but it was also a great opportunity to share my brand with some new people. I showed up with hundreds of cookies packaged for sales, a slideshow with photos of my products and samples of the Triple Chocolate Cookies and Black and White Blondies. Everybody loves samples.
The cookies I brought to sell were the KISD Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies, Triple Chocolate Cookies, S’mores Cookies and Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies with Chocolate Buttercream.
Chocolate Chip was by far the most popular with the Triple Chocolate following as second popular. Sidenote: who were all of these people telling me they don’t like peanut butter?!
While I didn’t sell as many packages as I thought I might (too many dieters, apparently), I met some great women and had a huge stack of business cards disappear. Thank you so much to JAFCO for doing what you do and letting me be a part of a great event!
Awww, such a good cause! :)
It is a bummer that every cookie wasn’t sold. They buy the cookies and give them as gifts if they were dieting. Any charity that is out to help kids is a good thing and should be supported.
I agree, Debra! Thanks for the comment:-)
Who are these people who don’t like peanut butter? Madness. I’ll take any spares ;-)
I mean really!
Such a great cause!!!
Supporting kids in need is really needed, those kids need us to make them believe that life is beautiful and good people do exist…
Everyone should support such events…. Really nice of you to participate.
I completely agree, Reem! Thanks for the comment:-)
Thank you so much!! Your cookies were amazing and we were thrilled to have you as a part of our afternoon. Let’s brainstorm to find other ways to get your name out there and give you the opportunity to support the work of JAFCO. We have alot of groups throughout the NE and Florida, I know the ladies(even the dieters) would love your cookies and involvement. Thanks! Rana Bell JAFCO- Director of Northeast Development
I would love that, Rana!
A great cause and a great way for you to get your products out there.
