How has everyone’s week been? My days have just flown by and every night as soon as I finished in the kitchen I practically collapsed in exhaustion. Working more hours lately has meant less time in the gym but my legs have never been so sore. I wear sneakers in the kitchen most of the time but would love tips on how to not feel like I’ve run a marathon every day. Because the days when I do get a workout in, boy is it tough. I think I need to bring yoga back into my life!
So in celebration of Earth Day, I wanted to share one of my favorite recipes from the blog again – These Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookie Dough Balls make me so happy because:
1) Peanut butter and chocolate, enough said
2) [Mostly] healthy ingredients = cookie dough for snacking
3) No-bake super easy recipes are exactly what I need these days
So if you missed them the first time around do not miss them this time! What better way to celebrate Earth Day than with a healthy dessert (or snack) that doesn’t require the oven? Head over to Fox for the recipe.
Yum, yum, and yum! I would have these even on my most energetic days.
I love simple no bites!
One of my favorite recipes of yours! Love the no-bake cookie dough deliciousness. :)
I have become recently obsessed with oat cookie balls such as these. So many fun ways to make them!
I make very similar ones, and I can eat them all in one sitting. Love these!
Could these also be cooked?
I don’t think so but you could toast the oatmeal before putting it into the batter if you want.
I hope you share your tips for not having sore legs after a day of cooking if you get any! I have that problem too….sneakers are the only thing I’ve come up with.
I try to make these really small because I know I’m going to eat too many. :)
These look deliciously adorable!!!
You know I have just got a huge gel mat for Kitchen… It kinds of work and standing on hard floor for long time can put strains on ur legs… Other than that i am too at look out for what else can be done….
I hope you find some solution… May be try gel mat;-)
I did get a gel mat the other day! I love it. I also talked to my friend who is a doctor who suggested clogs instead of sneakers so I may look into that!
Oh my goodness. These look delicious! I’ve only ever made a handful of no bake cookies, but they’ve always turned out great.
You should look into those gel mats for the kitchen floor. They are supposed to help support your feet and your back!
I just got one the other day – definitely helps a little bit!
Mmmm, these look so good. You’re right, pb and chocolate- enough said. It’s such a classic combo, one of which I believe to be the best combo. These really do look scrumptious.
one of the best combinations ever! they look delicious
I think the earth is very happy you didn’t turn on your oven. I’m happy because it means these cookies will be ready so much faster! They look delicious :)
I don’t dare make these little gems… I would eat one every time I walked through the kitchen!! Addicting!
These look great for snacking on, Lauren!
Oooh, these look irresistible!!! Thanks for sharing again :)
Oh my, do I EVER love these.
Maybe try wearing crocs in the kitchen? I have a cute loafer-looking pair. A lot of doctors and nurses wear them because they’re comfortable to stand in all day and the bottoms kind of massage your feet.
Definitely need to try that! Where did you get them??
Man, those look so good! As far as being so exhausted, I hear ya. I work 45-50 hours most weeks and it was really rough in the beginning. Over time you adjust though.
I used to work as a Catering & Events Manager for a private club so I spent 12-14 hours on my feet every day! My best tip is to invest in a pair of Nike Shock Tennis Shoes and put Dr.Scholl’s inserts inside. The shoes are pretty pricey, but believe me they are worth it! You sore legs will feel better in no time
Thanks, Colleen! I am going to try those sneakers.
I made these cookie dough balls last night when I needed a quick and delicious treat in a hurry to bring to a friend’s house. They were AWESOME! A huge hit. Thanks for a fabulous recipe. :)
So happy to hear that! Enjoy the rest of your weekend:-)
I need to make stuff like this to snack on at the office, looks like a good midday snack :)
These look terribly addicting and delicious!
Sorry about you legs…have you tried shoes make for chefs, or kitchen workers?
