I’m going to let you in on a little secret.
Sometimes I don’t drink my coffee until I get to work so that I have incentive to get to the office. After waking up by 6am, going to the gym, showering, getting dressed, making lunch and eating breakfast, it is a long way to go to that first sip of coffee around 9am9:30. But it is something to look forward to and sometimes we all need a little motivation to go to work.
But over the last few months, I’ve been cheating on my routine. The humid summer made hot coffee unappealing so I switched to iced coffee. And at $2+ a pop, I started making my own. That means coffee is enjoyed on my way to work and that walk up Park Avenue is a little slower than it used to be.
When I received samples of the new Godiva Coffee flavors in the mail, I couldn’t wait to incorporate them into my morning. The Pumpkin Spice coffee in iced form is the perfect way to ease into fall and I can’t wait to try the Caramel Pecan Bark. I have a feeling my walk to the office is going to get slower and slower.

Skinny Pumpkin Spice Mocha Iced Latte
Yield: Serves 1
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup strong brewed Godiva Pumpkin Spice coffee
- 1/2 tablespoon good quality unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 packet splenda, stevia or other sweetener of choice*
- 1/3 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (skim milk, soy milk, etc. can be used as replacement)
- 1 1/2 cups ice cubes
Cooking Directions
- Fill a tall glass with ice cubes
- Spoon cocoa and sweetener over ice
- Pour coffee and milk over ice; stir to combine
Notes:
Use sweetener to taste. I like a little less than 1 packet, but I don’t like my drinks too sweet.

Interested in participating in the next blog party? Courtesy of Chris‘s suggestion, the next blog party will be gooey chocolate desserts! The party will be on October 25th so send me your posts by Monday, October 24th!
When do you have your first cup of coffee?
Sometimes I have to stop for coffee just to make my morning doable :) I hear you! These look sooo good! :)
So glad I’m not alone!
I do the same thing and wait until work for coffee. This latte looks divine. I’ve heard that almond milk causes cold coffee to curdle… have you found this?
I haven’t had any issues but I did notice that the refrigerated Almond Breeze works and tastes better than the shelf-stable version (no idea why, though!)
I don’t drink coffee, but I think I’m in the minority. I usually have my first caffeine of the day (in some other form) around lunch!
This got me curious with the pumpkin and coffee combination, looks interesting and I imagine the flavors are awesome! Great post!
Thanks! I’m seriously addicted.
Oooh, gooey chocolate desserts!! I’ve gotta start racking my brains now. :)
I unfortunately can’t drink coffee–the few times I had an iced coffee this summer, I got really nauseous and even starting shaking one time. I’m all about my tea, though, and my first cup has to come within five minutes of getting into the office or I’m useless. :)
I get shakey if I drink too much caffeine, especially if I don’t have enough protein. Days without coffee just aren’t right for me, though!
That pumpkin Godiva coffee is my new favorite thing! I’ll have to try your latte sometime using it!
The coffee sounds delicious. …and gooey chocolate? *sigh* delicious! I can’t indulge this time, but keep me posted – because I LOVE these parties you have!
Thanks, Ann!
Squirrel, please! That is awesome. Guess who has a post scheduled today at 8 AM for an iced pumpkin spiced latte? This girl! Great minds, girlfriend. Very interesting addition with the chocolate–I will have to try that!
This is probably heresy but I don’t actually drink coffee! I think the only thing that could get me to change my mind though is iced coffee which I really like the idea of. And that straw is so cute!
This drink is so good that it is worth a try:-)
Iced pumpkin ~ genius!
Okay well I will absolutely be ordering these from the Godiva website. I need the incentive just to wake up in the morning!
YUM! :) That’s all.
I’ve never had a cup of coffee. Ever.
Ahhh!
My first cup of coffee or tea is about 7:30am. Nothing like a little caffeine before my workout! I will try your skinny recipe soon for an aftetnoon pick me up.
When it was warm, I also also brought my iced coffee to go as I came into work (to motivate myself to go and not sit around reading blogs at home and come in late! oops…). But now I bought some VIA and that has become a new motivation to get to work and make my coffee there. Who knew instant coffee could be so motivational! ;)
Haha so glad I’m not the only one!
Yummy, I love these from Starbucks! This looks delicious!! :)
Godiva chocolate + pumpkin = amazing. Um, wow.
I love anything with pumpkin pie spice :)
I’m with Lauren on this. Godiva chocolate + pumpkin = huge win.
So glad (and honored) you are doing the gooey chocolate dessert party next. Can’t wait to see everyone’s recipes. I’m a non recoverable chocoholic. :)
Thanks, Chris! I can’t wait to see what you send me:-)
That’s funny! I save my weekly Starbucks trip for on my way to my nutrition class (which is insanely boring), and then I look forward to going more. Although it does make me feel guilty to drink a 500 calorie cup of joe during a class about eating healthy…
Haha that is great!
I only stop for coffee if I am forced to come to the office on Saturdays. The rest of the week I make it at home before heading to work. This latte is sure to start my day off right!
Ooh! I love this idea to motivate me to get to work early! Thanks :)
